Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)
This album is rated in the top 5% of all albums on BestEverAlbums.com. This album has a Bayesian average rating of 76.1/100, a mean average of 75.8/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 76.3/100. The standard deviation for this album is 13.7.

Featuring three top 5 hits Joan of Arc(5), Maid of Orleans(4) and the best song on the album, the iconic and wonderful Souvenir(3).
superb brilliant start to finish. an icon of the genre. synthpop
Overall some pretty awesome synth pop
It's pretty good but it's a mixed bag with some filler. I prefer their first album where there is more energy.
Classic of the early 80s. Synthtastic.
Favorite Tracks:The Beginning And The End
Excellent eighties synth pop/electronica with some interesting use of electronic percussion. 'Joan of Arc' and 'Souvenir' are personal favourites.
One of the best albums of the eighties.
Excellent band, this album is dark and it soothes the soul. Easily one of the coolest bands of the 80s.
With a little influence of Kraftwerk, an artistically refined work... which achieve the amazing feat for a "synthpop progressive" album to be listened without being annoyed ! Best OMD's LP and best OMD's track (Joan of Arc).
