Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some artists can have several thousand ratings)
This artist has a Bayesian average rating of 57.9/100, a mean average of 53.5/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 53.5/100. The standard deviation for this artist is 18.5.

The modern age's greatest rip-off artist, and a pop genius. Has managed to turn all of funk into one simple sound that he can apply wherever he wants, and people lap it up.
With good reason, of course; his music is very catchy and well made. But it's so unoriginal that it does absolutely nothing to advance this medium whatsoever.
Made some decent singles, but nothing too impressive
Pretty good live performer.
It is easy to write a good melody if you are willing to use some of the most uninspired lyrics.
His vocals can be warm, sad, and occasionally have a slight edge, but outside of that, they are pretty boring.
Well, he's better than 90% of today's mainstream music. Songs like "When I Was Your Man", "Treasure" and "Grenade" are actually pretty fine songs when you disregard the unimaginative lyrics. But, then again, has couple of really really bad songs like "Money Make Her Smile", "Natalie", "Liquid Store Blues", "Show Me"...
Guess we'll just have to wait for his next album to be able to pass on some judgement.
Edit: Also an exceptionally good live performer.
He's got great vocals, I'll give him that. I think Grenade is a rather powerful track, but I'm pretty indifferent to the rest of his songs. Except for Just the way you are. I fucking hate that one.
Don't know why this guy gets a lot of hate. He's rather underrated, and one of the better mainstream regulars.
Give him credit - it was a better Superbowl performance than many of the schlocky or over the top performances in past years.
It's weird. I must be warming up to Bruno Mars because I didn't fly into a rage when I heard he will be doing the Super Bowl halftime show this season.
Cute. Nothing mind-blowing, but nothing that grates either.
Unimpressive.
