Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)
This album is rated in the top 24% of all albums on BestEverAlbums.com. This album has a Bayesian average rating of 73.8/100, a mean average of 73.2/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 74.0/100. The standard deviation for this album is 14.8.

Excellent debut. All songs are good, but a couple stand out as particularly great. Agree that this (like much punk/rock music from this time period) is probably best as a live experience, but what can you do. Best tracks: 1,3,5,12
One of my favorite Punk rock albums. The production is terrible, but I think it adds to the charm of the album. Greg's lyrics are excellently written, delivering scathing criticism of various topics ranging from government corruption to religion. He also has one of the best voices in the genre. This album has some of Bad Religion's best tracks, "We're Only Gonna Die", "Faith In God", and especially "Fuck Armageddon This Is Hell" are my personal favorites. Not their best, but a fantastic debut and an essential punk record.
It's production is a little bad, but it's a debut what do you expect. When I listen to this I imagine what it would be like to be at their liveshows back than. This one + Into The Unknown are my fav's BR records, ITU for it's uniqueness... Proggy Bad Religion wasn't that bad
A classic in a long line of great punk debuts. We're Only Gonna Die, Fuck Armageddon, This is Hell, Bad Religion, Drastic Actions but really every song is good. I highly recommend as an example of the 2nd wave of hardcore punk bands from California.
