As the Official Bob Dylan site states:
From Another World is a collection of recordings of Bob Dylan songs unlike any other. Interpreted by musicians from Cuba, Bangladesh, Macedonia, Taiwan, Burma, Iran, Egypt and from diverse musical traditions, you’ve never heard Bob Dylan songs sound like the recordings on From Another World.
This album also includes, perhaps, the only Dylan song (Father Of Night) interpreted and sung by first nations people in Australia. [First added to this chart: 03/26/2024]

Track 9 - Only A Hobo performed by Blind Boy Grunt (aka Bob Dylan)
Track 4 - The Old Man (aka Man On The Street)
This is perhaps the first original Dylan song ever recorded...it was performed by Dylan at The Gaslight Cafe on 6 September 1961 (the same occasion Dylan first performed Talking Bear Mountain Picnic Massacre Blues & Song For Woody). Dave Van Ronk was in the cafe on that date and even accompanied Dylan on guitar & vocal for a rendition of Woody Guthrie's 'Car Car'. The bootleg recording of this occasion is known as The First Gaslight Tape.
Dylan later recorded Man On The Street on 22 November 1961 at Columbia Studio A along with 6 cover songs. The 6 cover songs would appear on Dylan's self-titled March 1962 debut album, but Man On The Street would be archived until released on the March 1991 The Bootleg Series Vol 1-3: Rare & Unreleased.
Dave's cover version (always known by Dave as 'The Old Man') is the only known cover of this song by a recognised recording artist. [First added to this chart: 03/06/2024]

This song, written by Dylan, was offered to George Harrison in 1970.
Harrison subsequently recorded it - left it off his 'All Things Must Pass' album but included it in the soundtrack to 'Porky's Revenge!'. The version was also included in George's posthumous compilation album 'Let It Roll'
Les Fradkin's version is the only other known cover of this song.
For the record, Dylan has never recorded his own version of the song. [First added to this chart: 02/15/2024]

Track 10 - I Can't Leave Her Behind
This is a very rare cover song. The song isn't even listed in Dylan's lyrics books and most consider it to be an unfinished work.
The only record we have of the song is from audio recordings of the 13 May 1966 Glasgow concert.
Stephen Malkmus did the first cover of the song for the 'I'm Not There' biopic. Steven Keene's version is only the 2nd such cover. [First added to this chart: 02/18/2024]

Track 82 - Meridian West
The tune is an instrumental called “Meridian West,” which came about in 1985 when the The Waterboys were invited to perform with Dylan at a recording North London recording studio Church Studios. Dylan was working on the piece with musician Dave Stewart when The Waterboys joined in and the band’s frontman Mike Scott happened to record the jam session. In 2023, Scott reached out to Dylan and received Dylan’s authorization to include the track on this box set. [First added to this chart: 03/16/2024]
