Although Unknown pleasures might be the better album, for me this is their best work. My favourite song from this album switches every time, Joy Division was far ahead of their time with their sound. Yes it is a really dark album but Ian's voice and the sound of all the instuments still hold up to this time with some of the best bass lines you will ever hear.

Ever since my dad introduced me to Radiohead they have been one of my favourite bands of all time. Every album they have made is a great one (even pablo honey). At first I agreed that OK Computer was the best album of all time, but when I listened to In Rainbows I noticed that this album doesn't have fitter happier so this one wins.

When I first listened to this album I wasn't really liking it but after listening to a lot more post rock and slower music, I returned to spiderland to give it another chance and I was in love with it. The screaming guitars and McMahan's vocals really stuck with me. It's a shame we didn't get to hear more of them.

Another great post rock album. The thing I love about Godspeed is the really long but rewarding songs they make. They manage to keep things interesting and keep you on the edge of your seat for a really long stretch of time, and then it gets to a wild, bombastic climax. I think I like this album just as much as F♯ A♯ ∞.

I discovered DOOM because I saw this album cover and I was curious what the music sounded like. DOOM's lyrics are so creative and funny, and the mixing on this album is great as well. I especially love Potholderz because it is a collab where DOOM and Count Bass D are equally great and they don't outshine eachother.

In my opinion Black Country, New Road is the best band of the past few years and this album is proof of that. Their debut (for the first time) was almost perfect already but this one just tops it. They deserve all the praise they get.

I'm surprised this album sounds so good and not stitched together considering it took over 3500 samples to make. It sounds like your in some sort of old club or a cruise ship and I really dig it. The album cover is also really beautiful, I love the colours used and maybe that's a reason why it sounds like a cuise.

Like a lot of people dark side of the moon was the Pink Floyd album that introduced me to the band. And while making this list I thought about putting that album on here but after listening to some of their albums again, I decided that I like wish you were here more. I just really love the long songs, the guitar from David Gilmour and Roger Waters' lyrics.

Favourite songs:
- Shine on you crazy diamond, pts 1-5
- Wish you were here
- Have a cigar

Swans is, in my opinion, a band that makes albums that you have to listen in one sitting. Their songs alone are still good but they don't have the same effect on me personally than when I listen to their albums front to back. Their slow build ups, loud noise rock / post punk and eery vocals really manage to make you feel uneasy. I found this album to be one of their most intense one's, especially the title song

I love all their albums the same, but this is the one that introduced me to hip hop and ever since this has been one of my all time favourite albums. The lyrics are creative and funny and the beats are hard and funky. The album cover really fits the vibe of this album.

- Check the rhime
